Destinations

Guide

Destinations are the Telegram channels Krabli posts into. There are three roles a channel can fill: Backstage, Main, and Dropped. One more — Staging — is managed by Krabli internally and not something you set up yourself.

What each channel is for

ChannelRequired?What it is
BackstageYesYour private review channel. Every proposal Krabli selects arrives here as a bot message with Publish / Skip / Send back buttons.
MainOptionalYour public channel. When you tap Publish in Backstage, the post goes here.
DroppedRecommendedWhere skipped posts land. You can rescue a post from here later if you change your mind.
StagingAutomaticKrabli's internal workspace. Krabli sets this up — you don't need to touch it.

Setting up your channels

You have two paths: let Krabli create the channels for you, or set them up manually.

Path A — "Make it for me" (requires a linked Telegram account)

If you've linked a Telegram account on the Connections page, the Destinations page shows a "Make it for me" button (or "Set it up for me" / "Fix it for me", depending on what needs doing).

Tap it and Krabli will:

  1. Tell you exactly what it's about to do in plain language (channel name, who will be added as admin)
  2. Wait for your confirmation
  3. Create the channel, give it a name, add your bot as an administrator, and add Krabli's account as an administrator

The whole process takes a few seconds. The channel appears in your Telegram account immediately.

Standing yes — auto-setup when you change bots

If you replace your bot in the future, your channels will need the new bot added as admin (and the old one removed). On the Destinations page, you can enable "Set up my channels automatically when I connect a different bot." With this on, Krabli handles that change for you automatically whenever you update your bot.

This is optional. If you prefer to manage channel admin settings yourself, leave it off.

Path B — Manual setup

Create each channel yourself in Telegram, then tell Krabli about it.

Create the channel in Telegram

  1. In Telegram, tap the compose/new button and choose New Channel.
  2. For Backstage: make it private (no public link). For Main: make it public (so readers can subscribe).
  3. Give it a name (only you see the Backstage name; your audience sees the Main name).

Add your bot as an administrator

  1. Open the channel → Channel Info → Administrators → Add Admin.
  2. Search for your bot by its username and add it.
  3. Set the rights:
    • Backstage: Post Messages + Edit Messages of Others
    • Main: Post Messages only
    • Dropped: Post Messages only
  4. Save.

Why these rights?
Krabli only ever posts and edits messages — it never reads your channel history, deletes messages, or accesses your subscriber list. The rights above are the minimum needed for each channel to work.

Add Krabli's account as an administrator (Backstage only)

The Destinations page shows the exact Telegram username of Krabli's account. Add it to your Backstage channel as an administrator with Edit Messages of Others rights.

Why Krabli's account needs to be in Backstage
When you edit a proposal message in Backstage — to improve the wording before publishing — Krabli's account notices the edit and uses your revised version when it publishes. Without Krabli's account in your Backstage, your edits are silently ignored and the original AI-generated version is published instead.
Risk: One more admin account in your private Backstage channel.
Protection: Krabli's account only reads messages in channels you explicitly add it to. It is never added to your Main channel or any other channel.

Tell Krabli about the channel

On the Destinations page, enter the channel's username or paste its invite link into the appropriate field, then tap Check.

Running the check

After setup, tap Check next to any channel. Krabli verifies that:

  • The channel exists and can be reached
  • Your bot is an administrator with the correct rights
  • Krabli's account is an administrator (for Backstage)

If everything is correct, the status turns green. If not, you'll see a specific description of what's missing.

Troubleshooting channel checks

"Bot is not an administrator"
Open the channel in Telegram, go to Administrators, and add your bot. If it's already there, check that the rights include Post Messages.

"Bot can post but cannot edit"
The bot is an admin but Edit Messages of Others is not enabled. Open the bot's admin entry and turn it on.

"Krabli's account is not in Backstage"
Add the Krabli account (shown on the Destinations page) as an administrator to your Backstage channel.

"Channel not found"
Double-check the username or invite link. For a private channel, use its invite link — usernames only work for public channels.

Check passed, but posts aren't arriving?
Check that your agent is running (Agents page → status is "Running") and that your sources have been joined (Sources page → status is "Reading"). A newly added source can take a few hours before posts start flowing.

Removing or changing a channel

To change which channel fills a role, enter the new channel's details and run the check. Krabli will switch to the new channel. The old channel is not deleted — it stays in Telegram as-is.

To remove a role entirely, clear the field and save. Krabli stops posting to that channel. For Main, this means approved posts are not published anywhere (Krabli will warn you before you go live without a Main channel). For Dropped, skipped posts are simply discarded.
