Find your symptom below. Each section describes what's wrong, why it happens, and how to fix it.
Bot shows "needs attention"
Symptoms: The Connections page or Destinations page shows an alert on your bot. Posts may have stopped arriving in Backstage.
Likely causes and fixes:
1. The bot token was revoked in BotFather
If you (or someone with access to your BotFather account) revoked the token, Krabli can no longer use it.
→ Create a new token in BotFather (or tap "Make a bot for me") and paste it on the Connections page.
2. The bot was removed as admin from a channel
If someone removed your bot's admin rights in Backstage, Main, or Dropped, Krabli can't post there.
→ On the Destinations page, tap Check next to the affected channel to see what's missing. Then open the channel in Telegram and restore the bot's admin rights.
3. The bot's rights were changed
The bot may still be an admin but with fewer rights than Krabli needs.
→ Open the channel in Telegram → Administrators → tap your bot → confirm it has Post Messages and, for Backstage, Edit Messages of Others.
I can't assign a channel as Backstage (or Main, or Dropped)
Symptom: Pasting a channel link or username into the Destinations field gives an error.
Likely causes and fixes:
"Channel not found"
- For public channels: confirm the
@usernameis correct. - For private channels: use the invite link, not the username.
"Bot is not an administrator"
Add your bot to the channel as an admin before running the check.
"Channel is already in use"
Each channel can only fill one role (Backstage, Main, or Dropped) in one workspace. If you've accidentally assigned the same channel twice, or if the channel is already used in another workspace's setup, choose or create a different channel.
Private groups don't work
Krabli works with Telegram channels only, not groups. Make sure you created a channel (not a group) in Telegram.
Source channel is stuck in "Waiting to join"
Symptom: A channel you added has been "Waiting to join" for longer than the estimated time.
Causes and fixes:
You have many channels in the queue
Krabli joins at most 4 per hour. If you added 20 channels at once, the last ones will wait 5 hours. This is normal and will resolve on its own.
Your linked Telegram account was unlinked
Krabli can't join channels without a linked account. If you unlinked it, the queue pauses. Re-link your account on the Connections page to resume.
Telegram temporarily rate-limited your account
Rarely, Telegram temporarily blocks an account from joining new channels. Krabli will retry automatically. Check again in a few hours.
The channel became private
If a channel changed from public to private after you added it, Krabli can't join it. Remove it from the Sources page.
No posts are arriving in my Backstage
Work through this checklist in order:
- Is your agent running?
Agents page → confirm status is Running (not Paused). If paused, tap Go live.
- Are your sources joined?
Sources page → confirm the channels feeding this agent show Reading status. If they show "Waiting," new posts won't arrive until they're joined.
- Is your Backstage configured correctly?
Destinations page → tap Check next to Backstage. Fix any issues it reports.
- Does your agent have sources assigned?
Open the agent → confirm it has at least one source channel selected.
- Are there actually new posts in those source channels?
Check the source channel directly in Telegram. If nothing has been posted recently, Krabli has nothing to deliver.
- Is the mode too restrictive?
Run a dry run (agent → Test on recent posts) to see whether posts are being dropped by your filter or rules. If everything is being dropped, loosen your gate question or keyword rules.
A post arrived but the media (photo/video) is missing
Symptom: A Backstage proposal shows text but no photo or video, even though the source post had one.
Causes:
- Source channel changed the post: If the source edited or deleted the media after Krabli fetched the post, the media is gone. Nothing can be done for that specific post.
- File was too large: Very large video files may be skipped. This will be noted in the proposal.
- Temporary download failure: Krabli may have failed to download the file. This is uncommon. Check whether the next posts from that source have media — if it's a recurring issue, contact support.
Transcription is not working
"Transcribe" button doesn't appear:
- The post doesn't contain a video (photos, GIFs, and audio files don't get the Transcribe button).
- The video exceeds the 10-minute or 200 MB limit.
Transcription starts but never finishes:
- There may be a temporary issue with the AI service. Wait a few minutes and try again.
Transcription completes but subtitles are wrong or missing:
- The video may have no clear speech (music, background noise, silence). Krabli will note this in the result.
- Speech recognition accuracy depends on audio quality. Very noisy or quiet recordings may produce poor results.
"Transcription requires an AI key":
Add an OpenRouter key on the Connections page.
My AI key stopped working
Symptoms: Filter and Editor mode agents pause and show an AI key error.
Causes and fixes:
Credits ran out:
Add credits to your OpenRouter account. Agents resume automatically when credits are available.
Key was deleted or revoked:
Log in to OpenRouter, check that the key still exists, and create a new one if needed. Paste the new key on the Connections page.
Spending limit reached:
You've hit the monthly cap you set in OpenRouter. Either raise the cap or wait until the next billing period.
I can't sign in
"Invalid invite code":
Krabli is in private access. You need a valid invite code to create a new account. If you received one and it's not working, contact support.
Sign-in with Telegram fails:
Make sure you're allowing Telegram's authorization. If your browser is blocking popups, allow them for the Krabli site.
Previously signed in but now can't get back in:
Your session may have expired. Try signing in again. If the problem persists, contact support.
My agent says "waiting for an AI key"
Your agent uses Filter or Editor mode, which requires an OpenRouter AI key, and none is currently connected.
→ Go to Connections and add your OpenRouter key. The agent resumes automatically.
Umbrella channel is stuck or not translating
Status shows "Needs attention":
The bot may have lost admin rights in the umbrella channel, or the channel may have been deleted from Telegram.
→ Check the channel in Telegram. If it still exists, restore the bot's admin rights (Post Messages is enough). Then tap the check button next to the language on the Umbrella channels page.
No posts appearing in the umbrella channel:
Translation only starts from the moment you add the language — past posts are not translated retroactively.
→ Wait for the next post you publish through Backstage. It will be translated automatically.
Translation quality is poor:
Translation quality depends on the AI model via your OpenRouter key. If you're using a very low-cost model, try switching to a better one in your OpenRouter settings.
Something else is wrong
If your problem isn't covered here, check the FAQ or contact Krabli support. When contacting support, it helps to include:
- What you were trying to do
- What you saw instead (error messages, statuses)
- Which page or feature this happened on
- Approximate time it started
